From the executive regarding membership renewal for 2018/2019 year:

The NPC year runs from the beginning of September to the last day in August with meetings held in the months of September through to June. In order to reduce the lines, confusion and frustration at the September 2018 meeting, we have changed the renewal payment dates. Those members who wish to pay their renewal fees by cash or cheque must pay at the 2018 May or June meeting for the next fiscal year (2018/2019). Any activities, emails, membership in the Facebook Group, outings etc. will continue for any year of paid membership until the end of August. No cash or cheques will be accepted at the September meeting except for new members or visitors. If you are a current member and have not paid by the September meeting you will be considered a guest and will pay the $10 guest fee at the September meeting which will be refunded to you when you pay the annual fee if you wish to rejoin the club.

Online Renewal

You may pay on-line here - you have until July 31, 2018 to do so. This will give ample time for the Membership Director to confirm payment, print name tags and verify personal details VIA email prior to the September meeting. With this in place, all you will be asked to do at the September meeting is to pick up your new name tag and sign your insurance waiver (if we do not already have one on file).

2017 was Canada’s 150th birthday and Cobourg celebrated with a large number of special events.  The Town asked the members of the Northumberland Photography Club (NPC) to be at events and take photos.  A committee was formed to organize this: Bryan Marjoram, Jeannie Gane, Sandra Peters, Elisabeth La Fontaine, Dan Milligan, Stan Kicak and Elaine Amenta.  The photos were then put into a video and shown at Cobourg’s Mayor’s Levee on New Year’s Day 2018.

At the AGM in June 2017, a new board was elected. The outgoing board members were thanked and the new members introduced.

The new board (as of June 2017) is:

A year in the life of Cobourg

COBOURG - Capturing the Canada 150 events in Cobourg should be a snap for the Northumberland Photography Club.

The club accepted the task from the Town of Cobourg to photograph the Canada 150 events throughout 2017, said the club's president Raymond Williams.

"The idea is to capture a year in the life of Cobourg for 2017;” said Williams.

Club members have already begun the busy task with the town's two big Canada 150 events early this year - the Ontario Curling Championships and the 2017 Ontario 55+ Winter Games, said Williams. Up next is the RBC Cup National Jr. A Hockey Championship. There are about 50 to 60 events to cover throughout the year.
