Peterborough Street Photography and Garden Show - April 26th

Friday afternoon, the 26th, we are once again off to Peterborough, this time to practice some street photography.  It just so happens that the Peterborough Garden Show opens at 5 pm that day at the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre at Sir Sanford Fleming College (a new location).  At 5:30-6:30 Kyle Griffin is speaking on Garden Photography.  Please see the following link.

This may be interesting and informative to the gardeners in the club.  The cost of the Garden Show is $10, but that allows admittance all through the weekend.  Tickets for the Garden Show may be purchased on-line.  The film, Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf, is also being shown there on Friday evening (7:30 pm).  It does not appear that the food stations will be open on Friday evening at the Garden Show.

The plan is to meet at the car park at Hwy 28 in Port Hope (across from Arby’s) at 12:45 to go to downtown Peterborough.  We will have about 2 hours to wander the downtown core.  I suggest exploring some of the side streets such as Charlotte and Hunter, checking out alleyways and street art.  We could then meet up at Kettle Drums Restaurant & Bar (224 Hunter Street) about 3:30 for a drink or snack before heading home or to the Garden Show.

Please let Sandra know by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  if you plan to meet at the car park and if you plan to continue to the Garden Show.

Should be a great day!
